In some ways, many a new mother looks at their newborn with that mix of adoration and worship. A glimpse of incarnation every time a child is born.

In this painting I was also drawn to the attitude of Joseph. I can hear him saying with great excitement and thankfulness as he points to Jesus “look come and see the promised son of God”
