My concern is primarily about how after nearly every mass shooting incident there is a public outcry and mass demonstrations and calls for greater gun control and then the uber-powerful NRA steps in, decries the demonstrators (even if they're kids or grieving parents), puts pressure on the legislators it has made donations to, and kills off any change in the law. Its power is unchecked. It operates like a 'king' to use the language of the article.

Great piece, thank you Mike. Can you please enlarge on the NRA and give me your understanding of it and your concerns about it? I have been hearing a smattering of information about it lately, it’s “alleged” members and it’s covert work. I would appreciate your voice and opinion.
