When I first heard this story the other day on ‘this american life’/ABC National, while driving my car, I cried, all to rare thing, just at the point the girl who hadn’t spoke since losing her father spoke to him in the booth, it broke me. Such a powerful story and I love that someone found a way to help people grieve in that context/situation of complex and tragic sadness by giving them a safe place to connect with the lost.

It is one of those stories that makes me feel like ‘I understand but I don’t really understand’.
