Disney in the 2008 animated movie Wall-E had a joke at our expense and we largely didn’t get it. Disney portrayed that excessive consumption would one day bring Earth to a point where it was inhabitable. It was quite a feat on Disney’s part to be sharp to the very consumers that watch their movies, absorb their television and attend their theme parks.
