In reply to Robert Wellham. Agreed Robert . Mike Frost is simply another man pleaser with limited discernment. There are significant and dangerous implications associated with a YES win as well documented by Stephen Reason and Josephine Cashman. A race based constitution sets a very dangerous precedent. Aboriginals are already covered in the 1967 Constitution and defined as people as are every human being., many from Countries with severe religious persecution. Why not we include every race and their origin.

Coming from a gentleman of your credentials, and with Morling College branding on this page, I take the absence of any argument from Holy Scripture as an indication that there are no Biblical grounds for the Voice. Yours, like the “Yes” essay, is just an appeal to emotions.

It is the absence of reference that has me voting ‘no’. >>”The fact that the Australian Constitution does not currently contain any reference to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is frankly embarrassing”.

The 1967 refendum removed references from the Constitution and made us all one. As an outcome Australia currently has the highest ever count of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in elected positions across State and Federal Parliament. It is not an embarassing absence but instead an absence that should be cherished.
